I was quite shocked when i discovered this poem on the internet, I had no idea someone could write something so dark and deep about Pokémon but Samantha (she also goes by Dreamer) really proved me wrong with this one. Right from the title the poem grabbed my attention and from then on i couldn't stop reading, it was like seeing a really rare pokémon in a regular patch of grass, what a thrill. I like how the author wrote the whole thing with quotation marks at the start/end so you can almost hear it being read aloud which i thought was cool. As well i really like how she didn't mention pokémon until the end of the poem which really makes it believable and i love the concept of pokémon losing control of the 'beast within' as she says. Overall it gives a great twist to how you think about pokémon and i thoroughly enjoyed this poem.
