I chose to create a parody of Dylan Thomas's poem because it is a very well known piece of literature that lots of people ill connect to, especially since we went over it in class. i found it a little difficult to connect the poem to my theme, but it wasn't too hard once i got going. i just had to switch up some words and lines, change some rhymes but it worked itself out by the time i got to the last line. I would talk about poetic devices and such, but that would be listing the same ones as in the real poem, other than allusions to the world of pokémon or certain alliterations that i destroyed by inserting words of my own.
